Masks - Reminder to all students to wear your mask over your nose and have it worn properly as you travel and move throughout the school. We need to follow masking guidelines to ensure in-school learning is safe for all students and staff at QC. Thank you.
Student Council President - Co-President(s) information meeting - If any grade 9 student(s) are interested in running for President or Co-President(s), please attend an information being held today, Thursday, September 9th in our Science Lab next to the main office at 12:30 PM. We will outline all information needed to run for the school election and answer any questions.
Off-Grounds at lunch - Remember to be a respectful community citizen when traveling off school grounds at lunch time. Reminder not to cut through any backyards or across front lawns, as well, don't jump any fences, or walk on main streets where vehicles are traveling. We would like to make sure all students are safe when walking off grounds for lunch.
The first field hockey tryout will be today from 3:00 - 4:30. Players are asked to change quickly after school and come out to the field. Players will need to bring your signed release form in order to participate. They should also have a mouth guard, shin guards, and cleats. Sticks will be supplied. Please see Mrs. Stolk in the Phys. Ed. office with any questions.
There is a sign-up in the gym hallway for taking equipment outside to use during lunch We have limited equipment so it’s ok for students to bring soccer balls, basketballs, footballs etc. from home.
Volleyball tryouts will start today and tomorrow. On both days the girls will start right after school from 3:00 - 4:30, and the boys tryout will be 4::30 – 6:00.
Soccer tryouts also start today with the girls starting right after school from 3:00 - 4:30 and the boys from 4:30 – 6:00. Friday the boys will go right after school at 3:00 and the girls will be at 4:30.
There will be a golf team meeting on Monday at 12:25 in room 117.
It's Cross-country season. Any QC student interested in participating in cross-country this year can sign-up with the cross-country coach Mr. McCardle on Monday after school (meet outside of the double doors near the bus pick-up area). Next week we will practice Monday and Thursday, and every week following that will be Wednesday and Thursdays only right after school from 3:15 - 4:15. Everyone is welcome. If you are participating in another sport, and cannot always make cross-country practice; no problem! Make it when you can.
Baseball tryouts will start early next week so stay tuned for announcements.
