AB QC2 Practice 5:30-7:00pm
AB QC3 Practice 6:30-8:00pm

Intramurals will be for Grade 9’s today.

Congratulations to the AA Girls Basketball team on a great return to the basketball court in 2025. The girls had a strong performance beating SIS 36-14 last night. QC displayed excellent footwork on defense limiting SIS to only 2 points in the first quarter of play. Player of the Game, Alexandra Wolfe, had an excellent game offensively with a number of offensive rebounds that turned into points for QC. Great work girls!

The “A” Girls basketball team had a 30-25 win over Immanuel Christian last night, Mya Kells and Olivia Rowell had a stellar performance on defence  with multiple steals, Isla Richardson was strong on the offence.

The “A” Boys QC3 fell short 56-23 to Stonepark last night in a hard fought battle, Aidan Smith had 7 points and Marcus Ona-Oju had 6!

The QCAA Boys basketball team started the new year with an 80-16 win over SIS. Top scores were Cruz Bevan 14, Jonah Lawlor 13, Moses Collins 13 and David Knickle with 9. 

There is a new Wellness Club Sign Up posted on the PE bulletin board for Group #2. Students who were already a member of Group #1 can still sign up, but those who haven’t participated in wellness club yet will have priority spots.  The new group #2 will start on Monday.

Group 1 Hockey Skills members will be on the ice today (Wednesday) at 2:30. Any questions please see Mr. Ward or Mr. Phelan. 
Grade 8 students will have early lunch for the month of January.

Reminder to Yearbook members that we are working from 3:00 – 4:00 today.

Lost & Found: Keys for a Mazda with a UPEI badge were found outside yesterday, if you think they are yours, please contact the office.

“Guess how many candies are in the jar?”  Fundraiser for French class 8A will take place at lunch time 12:05 – 12:25 by the Cafeteria today, tomorrow & Friday, January 8, 9 & 10th .  $1 per guess.  Please come and make a guess to support a great cause!

The Supreme Court of Canada’s 150th Anniversary Art Contest.  We’re looking for drawings, paintings or other graphic artwork illustrating the history and future of the Court as we commemorate it’s 150th year.  The contest is open to all young artists residing in Canada between the ages of 5 – 17.  Deadline to submit your artwork is January 31, 2025.  For more information and contest rules, visit:  scc-csc.ca/150
