FIFA World Cup Soccer starts today! A World Cup celebration is a massive, unifying global event that transcends the sport of soccer. It brings together billions of fans across the globe to celebrate national pride, cultural diversity, and shared human connection through public match viewings, live concerts, and community festivals. The World Cup is the world's most-watched sporting event. When national teams play, it triggers an outpouring of patriotism. Fans wear their country’s colors, wave flags, and sing anthems, creating an atmosphere where entire nations (and diaspora communities around the world) bond over a shared identity and collective hope. So we would like all QC students to wear their team colors or team jerseys and have fun supporting each other and supporting the World Cup!
