Girls softball provincials on Thursday in Summerside, semifinal is at 11:00 am
QC2 came ready to play on Tuesday, overcoming a strong Hernewood team in the semi-final in a low scoring defensive battle. Shout outs to Patrick Hillier, Jack MacDonald and Cam Mackinnon for their defensive efforts. The gold medal game featured a rare QC1 vs QC2 battle. Offense was firing with strong performances by Oliver Crozier, Samson Maclennan and Marcus Conroy. It was a well-played game by both teams and came down to the last few minutes with QC1 taking the win. Shout out to Jack Potter as the Player of the Game for QC2. Thanks to the players for the effort and a great season.
QC girls softball team defeated east wiltshire 7-5 yesterday to advance to the provincial semi finals on Thursday! The team was led by the pitching of Ashlyn Bishop who also contributed with 2 hits including a home run. Callie Cusack and Averie Hambly also contributed with two hits each. Way to go girls!
On behalf of the QC Leadership team, we wanted to thank all students who participated in the Stonepark Leadership Conference yesterday. You all represented QC in an excellent manner and made great contributions throughout the day. Special shoutout to Norah Cameron who finished second in the conference wide rock paper scissors battle!
The AA Flag football team won their first game 38-12 against SIS to give them a chance to play for the provincial championship game. Multiple touchdowns by Lyla Buckle, Adele Saunders, Phoebe LeCoure and Sienna Kilcup. Two interceptions on defence by Emma Ghiz and Scarlett Schaffner. The girls made history, with a win against Hernwood 21-20. The girls made a great comeback after going down 20-7 with 8 minutes to play in the game. Touchdown by Phoebe LeCoure and Adele Saunders. What a great way to finish a perfect season, the girls showed a lot of determination and perseverance.
